G-Dragon’s popularity in Japan cannot be denied.
On September 20, G-Dragon successfully wrapped up his Japanese tour at the Tokyo Dome, Japan.
According to YG Entertainment’s report, the idol’s tour gathered a whopping of 260,000 fans to the five concerts, held in three different cities in Japan.
On June 8, BIGBANG’s leader dropped his fourth album dubbed Kwon Ji Yong. As soon as its release, the album climbed to the top spot in a number of local music charts. It also took the first place on iTunes album chart in 39 countries around the world, including the United States, Canada, Argentina, France, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Norway, Singapore and Spain.
During the tour in Japan, G-Dragon shared with fans about how the new album means to him, saying: “In this album, I wanted to speak about Kwon Ji-yong, as a person, a normal person and not the G-Dragon persona. Frankly, it was quite hard and was worrisome.”
He added: “But the worries vanish when I get up on stage and sing for all of you. My heart becomes full of joy.”
In another news, G-Dragon will unveil his new album in Japan on November 1. Besides, BIGBANG is also scheduled to tour across the country in the same month.
