SEOUL: Korean singer-actress BoA is set to appear in Korean director Choi Ho's action-thriller “Big Match” next year, reported Korean media.
The “Big Match” production team recently confirmed that BoA has joined the film’s cast.
They also revealed that her character, Soo Kyung, will have a number of action scenes.
It will be the 27-year-old K-pop star's first appearance in a Korean film, after making her big screen debut in the Hollywood dance flick “Make Your Move 3D” earlier this year.
She will star alongside actors Lee Jung Jae and Shin Ha Kyun in "Big Match".
The film will see Shin play a game designer who creates a special game for Korea’s wealthy, while Lee plays a man who enters the game in order to save his brother.
“Big Match” goes into production later this month and will be released in late 2014.
