K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun on Tuesday pledged to donate 100 million won (S$117, 000) to help out her fellow students at Korea’s Dongguk University.

SEOUL: K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun on Tuesday pledged to donate 100 million won (S$117, 000) to help out her fellow students at Korea’s Dongguk University, reported Korean media.

“I donated the money to help students who would otherwise have to give up their studies and their dreams because of financial difficulties,” said Seohyun, at a ceremony recognising her contribution.

She also revealed that she especially enjoyed her Japanese language classes at the university, during the event.

The 22-year-old singer enrolled in the university back in 2010, and is set to graduate soon.

Other celebrity students that are studying at Dongguk University include Seohyun’s Girls’ Generation group mate Yoona, and A-Pink’s Na-Eun.
