SINGAPORE - Actress Yeo Yann Yann has won the Golden Horse Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Singapore film "Ilo Ilo".

Best Newcomer nominee Koh Jia Ler and Best Supporting Actor nominee Chen Tianwen did not win in their respective categories.

The film's 29-year-old director Anthony Chen is still up for Best New Director.

The movie is also a nominee in the Best Feature Film and Best Original Screenplay categories.

"I'm ecstatic, I'm ecstatic about winning the award. And I feel like I'm in a dreamland now. It's not real, it's so unreal right now, I'm still very excited and speechless, I am," said Yeo.

On Friday night, Chen picked up the Piaget Best Screenplay award at the Golden Horse nominees' dinner.

Set against the backdrop of the 1997 Asian financial crisis, Ilo Ilo explores the relationship between a family of three and its Filipino maid.
