SINGAPORE – Starhub has released the prices of Apple’s latest smartphones, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, for its mobile plan subscribers ahead of its competitors Singtel and M1.
While the company also confirmed on Thursday (Sept 14) it would offer Apple’s latest flagship smartphone model, the iPhone X, it added that it didn’t have a confirmed date as to when that would happen.
The telco said more information regarding the iPhone X will be unveiled on its website “in the coming days”.
Starhub revealed that those who opt for a S$48 monthly subscription, will have to fork out S$606 for the iPhone 8 (64GB), for example, while those who choose the S$238 monthly plan need not pay for it.
Similarly, those who opt for a iPhone 8 Plus (64GB) will have to pay S$750 with a S$48 monthly plan, while those who choose the S$238 monthly plan will have to pay S$46.
Starhub said that its registration of interest for both models will close at noon this Friday.
The telco added that eligible customers will receive their appointment booking instructions “early next week”.
Meanwhile, M1 said it would start offering Apple’s latest products, including the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, the Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS) and Apple TV 4K next Friday.
Singtel announced on its website that the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus would be from Sep 22 onwards, while the iPhone X will be available from Nov 3.
However, two telcos did not reveal any information about product prices for mobile plan subscribers.
Apple had launched its premium iPhone X on Tuesday, which came with a price tag of S$1,648. The iPhone 8 Plus is priced at S$1,308 and the iPhone 8 at S$1,148.
Singapore customers can pre-order the iPhone X from Oct 27 at 3.01pm, while Apple will take orders for the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus from Friday (Sept 15) at 3.01pm onwards.
